Crossfire

The artwork features a dynamic blend of bright, warm colors contrasting with cool natural hues. The play of colors and angles creates a vivid and lively visual impact. The hardness of timber and metal complements the soft warmth of the colors, while a sleek circular shape with copper trim adds sophistication, contrasting beautifully with the roughness of the timber.

"Re" is a big part of my life. I love to reduce, reuse, and recycle whatever I can in my personal and artistic life too. Owning a name that means reborn cannot be a coincidence overall.

The "Re" series was inspired by a piece I made many years ago to decorate my own home. The whole idea came to me after seeing some recycled furniture at a home show built from demolished timber following the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
