Onetangi Bay - Waiheke

On my latest visit to Waiheke Island, I spotted a boat on Onetangi Bay. While I was working on this piece my intention was clear. To transfer you there. I was aiming for you to feel the sand with your bare feet, the sun on your skin, and smell the salty air. The soft background, the realistic, detailed boat -the heart of the painting- and the real sand provide contrast and complement each other at the same time.
