Walk In The Garden

I had a little experiment with different shapes for a more dynamic design. The various shades of green make the warm colours pop resonating with a garden full of flowers surrounded by leafs.The circular shape and copper trim give it a sleek look and nicely contrast the roughness of the timber. /The copper edge will nicely age to reach its final rich colour./

"Re" is a big part of my life. I love to reduce, reuse, and recycle whatever I can in my personal and artistic life too. Owning a name that means reborn cannot be a coincidence overall.

The "Re" series was inspired by a piece I made many years ago to decorate my own home. The whole idea came to me after seeing some recycled furniture at a home show built from demolished timber following the 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
